I keep making a total of 7-8 mistakes out of 49 on the writing section, and it's starting to get frustrating. The majority of my wrong answers are usually no error. I cant afford to make more than 3 mistakes. Is there anything i can do in the next 2 days to help me single out the no error questions? I keep forcing the sentence to have an error, and then sometimes i end up putting no error on some sentences that are correct in the first place, but only because I would feel like there werent enough no errors. Does anyone else have the same problem? Thanks

I know what you mean. I had the same problem too. It really helps if you read some high level books with a lot of vocab and what not. It helped me.
When you don’t really know the grammar rules, and you see a sentence in which you don’t see an obvious error, you are skeptical of the (E) no error because you assume you are making the error and that the sentence has some error in it you just haven’t seen. When you really know the grammar, you can have the confidence to know that if none of the things that can be wrong on an SAT question are wrong, then (E) is the only choice.
Learn the knowledge; trust the knowledge; don’t fear the (E).
I went from 41/49 to 48/49. I was in the same boat as you are in right now. But trust me, once you know all the grammar rules, it’s just a matter of practice. Try to categorize your error types and make sure you don’t miss out on any errors! At one point, it started feeling mechanical for me. Just keep on practicing and make sure to pounce upon all questions, but don’t over-analyze a question so that you end up finding an error out of nothing.
The key as it was for me - PRACTICE. I did around 25 practice tests.
But I guess it’s too late for the OP. Anyways, I hope the test went well!
