Is it true that it is virtually impossible to get into a top med school (i.e. Harvard, John Hopkins, etc.) without first going to a top Undergrad school (Ivy League, etc.)???

That is completely FALSE. I have evidence Barry university is not a top undergraduate school, but there premedicine students go to Harvard, Yale, and Duke Medical School.

definitely false

Definately false. My son just met with admission reps from a couple different med schools (though not Ivies). Their statement was that it (for all schools) is based on your numbers, your recs., and your interviews.

false, a bad gpa and a bad mcat score are the only things that will keep you out of a top med school

It's virtually impossible to get into a top med school whether you go to an Ivy or not. Acceptance rates at Stanford, Harvard, Johns Hopkins typically range from 3-5% (roughly 2-3X more difficult to get into than Harvard undergrad).
