Trusler Hall?

I'm pretty interested in rooming in Trusler Hall for its Leader Scholar Program. Can anyone give me a little insight on the dorm situation there and the program? Is there another dorm that would be better?

I lived in Trusler hall, and I have to say, it was awesome. the events that were part of the program were mostly fun, and it was a great way to meet people who were actually interested in doing well, instead of all the partying that seems to happen in broward. plus, the certification looks great on a resume, and for the next year, you can basically get guaranteed entrance into the returning gator program in 2 room doubles in Murphree if you want to. It’s not even that hard to get all the stamps for the certification. and if you end up not wanting to do any of the programming, it’s not required, and the building is still in a great spot, really close to gator dining. I would highly recommend this hall.

Thanks for the input  Are the communal bathrooms and kitchen as bad as they seem to be? I’m pretty interested in cooking for myself, and I’m worried it’ll be too difficult to do.

I don’t know why you would think they are bad. I actually found them very convenient. I never once had to wait for a shower stall, and they are cleaned every single day. As long as you buy a bathrobe and a shower tote, I think it’s actually better than the suite style.

As far as the kitchen goes, I actually had a meal plan, so I didn’t do much cooking, but there were like 6 or 7 people on my floor that cooked 100% of their meals, and I never heard any complaints from them. there was a pretty good stove, a microwave, and a sink to wash your dishes. everything you’d need to cook.

Oh well, that all sounds pretty good to me. Thanks!

Sweet! I picked Trusler for the progam because I wanted to have fun with all the people in the dorm and socialize outside my engineering major a little. I’m really happy to hear that the dorm is nice! I got first floor with my friend from my school :)

Is there a bathroom and kitchen on every floor?

I think there is. Realitysandwich, what’s your FB name? I’d love to know some people in the program beforehand so I’m not completely clueless :P

Or PM me, whatever.
