Trustee finalists, how did you feel about your interview?

So, the first Explore USC session ended just yesterday, and I don't really know what to think about my interview. It wasn't as great as it could've been, but it wasn't bad either. I didn't walk out of the room feeling like it had sealed the deal though. A lot of the people on here said their interview was like a conversation, but mine was strictly Q&A. I only had two interviewers in the room, but they seemed a little more serious than the others that were calling people from the waiting room. Did everyone else feel like their interview went really well? And if there are any past Trustee winners reading this, did you feel confident about getting the Trustee or were you surprised?

I thought my interview went perfectly. I had 2 young/enthusiastic interviewers, and they pretty much lobbed softballs at me for 20 mins. It was awesome.

I only had two as well, a man who is an academic advisor and a freshman English major. They started off with Q&A, but it became more conversational as the interview continued. Both seemed genuinely interested in my responses, so that was reassuring. However, no one can truly be sure of how he/she did because everything is so relative. We don’t know how the other applicants did, so we cannot know how we did in respect to them. Even if you are slightly discouraged because it was not exactly how you planned, don’t get too down on yourself. I’m sure you did better than you think; you’re probably your toughest critic.
