so is it true that Purdue has changed its criteria for the trustee scholarship? I've heard that it is no longer automatically granted upon obtaining the 3.8 Core GPA and the SAT score. Now it seems that it will be awarded to up to 100 students.

I noticed the same thing. Seems like it’s more restrictive now (only 100 awarded; must have been more than 100 kids that automatically qualified in the past). The amount awarded has also changed (• Nonresidents: $10,000 - $16,000 per year
• Residents: $6,000 - $8,000 per year). Could be a good thing for out-of-state students, assuming they actually manage to qualify for the award. Does anybody know how many students qualified under the old system?

yea I found that 820 qualified for the Trustee in 2008 and 638 for the Presidential. This really is unfortunate for 2011 freshmen as we now are going to have to compete for the full tuition. Unbelievable.
