Try these math problems!

<p>Ok, these are some of the questions i don't quite understand from the blue book. Please help me out?</p>

<p>If 3a + 4b = b which of the following must = 6a+6b. </p>

<p>I've gotten questions a lot harder that this correct but this seems to confuse the heck out of me. If possible, please give a well-explained response.</p>

<p>I also need help on these questions from the blue book, please help =/</p>

<p>16 on page 418. Honestly, these types of questions are the ones I find most difficult. How is one meant to find the answer to this quickly?</p>

<p>*IMPORTANT: page 418 number 18- please i need a solid explanation for this one.</p>

<p>3a+3b=0. so 6a+6b=0 just by multiplying by 2.</p>

<p>Here is a more detailed way to solve it.</p>

<p>just get B in terms of A;</p>

<p>3a = -3b;</p>

<p>2(3a + -3a) = b;
2(0) = 0;</p>

<p>so answer is b = 0;</p>

x + 3 = 0 -> x = -3
x -3 = 0 -> x = +3;</p>

<p>a - 1.2 = 3</p>

<p>a = 4.2 OR a - 1.2 = -3 -> a = -1.8.</p>
