white female from public school in ma :/

applied early to yale...yeah...then applying to more ivies, stanford, duke, northwestern, georgetown, wash u, william and mary, u va, u mass

Do I literally have ANY chance at Yale? Due to the high scores people are like, "shut up, that's where you're going next year." It's stressful! I'm just hoping for a deferral and not a rejection, what do you guys think?

come on....either have more self confidence or stop showing off.

yeah...um i was self-confident until i read all of the ridiculously amazing people who got flat-out rejected. it seems that to get accepted as a non-minority from ma you have to be basically non-human.

I think it's a valid concern. However, buwinnifred, I think you've done pretty much all that's possible. I think you've got a shot - respectably better than the average applicant.

Agreed with boijia, now all you can do is wait for lady luck

Yes, you have done all that's possible...let's see, perfect scores, perfect grades, toughest courseload...you're already at the top with just that stuff...now let's see...female physics major, jobs, scuba diving, leadership...can you get rejected?

i didn't mean to be offensive. i'm just saying you should know that you obviously have as good a chance as anyone. it's never 100% but in your case its definitely likely.

I'm applying to all these Ivies and I think u got a better-looking resume than mine does. Great job and stay positive. Being white definitely helps!

...being white definitely helps??? hmm
