Trying to be reinstated to OSU without transcript

I was dismissed from OSU spring of 2016 for academic reasons. After being away for some time i am trying to petiton for reinstatement. I took classes at a community college but my grades were decent. B’s and C’s. Im afraid if i provide my transcript from the community college it may hurt my chances of being reinstated. Should I include the transcript or just petition without it?

You need to include the transcript as the reinstatement form specifically asks for it.

"please attach any relevant supporting documentation…
transcripts demonstrating successful course work at other academic institutions during your time away from Ohio State; "

Not doing so could jeopardize your future enrollment status as not having been ‘truthful/complete’ on your application for reinstatement.

As a person who was kicked out for flunking out (spent too much time working and had no time for hw, 1991). I took classes at an Ohio University Branch (straight A’s) and went back to OSU when it was clear I had the maturity, drive, and financial stability to do so.

I don’t think B’s and C’s at a community college demonstrate that you’ve been able to master what college takes yet. My advice would be to aim for A’s, then try to apply for reinstatement. If you have run out of classes at community colleges that will transfer into OSU, look to starting out at one of the OSU branches. It will be less expensive and you will have better access to faculty through smaller classes to increase your chance of success.

I did make it back, did graduate 1995 and I hope you will, too.
