Trying to choose my college route, Advice?

How's it going?!

So here's my deal, I had a tough time in high school emotional (Bullying etc), my senior I started to become lazy and had to drop out and finish my additional 2 credits through a online school. Just within the last year I started to come out of my shell and now I'm an extremely social person. Currently I have a 2.4 high school gpa and will be taking the ACT in June. From what I've seen I meet the admission requirements at my state college (Kansas State) but recently I've wanted out of the state to start a new. Thankfully my father lives in Arizona so I'm considering moving there, The problem is I do not meet the requirements for ASU and cannot afford it till I gain residency. Honestly I crave the environment of a 4 year university dorm life to make a new circle of friends, but if I move to Arizona I will have to attend a Community college for the first year (Chandler Community College) and than I will attempt to transfer to ASU and live in the dorms.

Financially I receive 3 payments of 24,000 for college and if needed my parents are willing to support me no matter what.

What do you think I should do?? Would a social person do alright going to a community college in a new state? Or should I consider another option?

Thank you for any help!!

There are other AZ colleges besides ASU. Check out Northern Arizona U, in Flagstaff, for example.

FYI, it may be hard to achieve in-state status if you are in school. Most states have policies that prevent out-of-state students from earning in-state status while going to school in that state. So, it might be a good idea to go to community college to get your grades up, but that may not help you toward getting in-state status.

If you are a social person, you will do just fine at your local community college. Just make sure that your goal of transferring to ASU and gaining in-state tuition is realistic.
