Current GPA 3.0 PLS HELP ME I DONT WANT TO WORK AT MCDONALDS
UC’s only use Sophomore and Junior year grades to calculate your UC GPA:

UC’s will look at your Freshman grades and see if you have an upward trend. Slacking off is not an excuse for a low GPA, so it will be difficult to address in any of your essays. It is great you are trying hard to improve. You will need a Weighted UC GPA of 3.0 to even qualify to apply. Working towards a better SAT score will definitely help, but admissions will wonder about the GPA vs SAT mismatch if you get that 2000 score.
If you can get your UC GPA up to around a 3.4-3.5, you would have decent chances at UC Riverside and UC Merced, possibly UCSC. Work experience and your devotion to piano are a plus. All you can do is your best to turn things around. There are many good Cal States you should consider besides the UC’s and also private schools. You do have a chance at many good colleges.
I really can’t read through all of this but you need to be sure you
a) meet UC course requirements
b) meet UC weighted gpa of 3.0 minimum. But that is not really sufficient to be at the minimum for chances to be likely.
Your SAT is decent but not great. What do you mean your parent ‘beat me’ do you mean that literally they physically abused you?
yes, piano lessons are certainly an EC. If you are devoted to that you could write about it for your 2nd UC essay.
If you meet a and b you could apply to riverside, merced, santa cruz, maybe irvine, davis or santa barbara. Of course you have a chance at some CSU too, so you don’t have to work at McD.
This can’t be real, troll username. If it is real, Berk and LA are tossups and the rest are shoe-ins.
Your post was tough to read and I am not sure where your are but, with a 3.0/1800, it is going to be tough to make i straight into a UC. I’d encourage you to focus on the mid tier CSUs - Sonoma, SF, SJ, and maybe Chico. If you just gotta go to a UC, think about heading to a CC then transferring.
