Hello. I am a junior in my undergrad. I’m a civil engineer and have done pretty well but I admit I haven’t always pushed myself just sorta coasting through classes. Never really valued grades too much. I was an A student in high school but stopped caring as much in college about perfect grades. As of now i have just under a 3.2 gpa but i still have a year or more so i plan to bump that up considerably. I’m not worried about getting into grad school but I would love to go to UC Berkeley and have heard students get in with worse grades than me. What do you think? Thank you so much for reading.
You generally need a minimum 3.0 GPA (out of 4) for consideration at UC Berkeley, so those “worse grades” probably can’t be much worse.
so do you think i’d have a reasonable shot? I mean I know it says it’s the the minimum, but I know its a competitive school. I’ve also heard grad school is easier to get in than undergrad though. Hell, I was talking to someone the other day in my college who said he got in grad school with a 2.8 or something. We’re not a bad school either so that gives me hope
