Trying to hold a math contest!! help please

Hi all!
Our high school's math club is trying to hold a math contest for
local elementary school kids. We haven't organized & planned anything yet. and we just have an idea.
Anyone have the experience of similar kind??

The hardest thing is to make the contest fair and public.. I think...
How should we advertise this to the kids...
Several of our math teachers agreed to supervise for us.

Thanks!!

Any ideas & opinions & suggestions will help.....

Try looking on your states/counties math leagues for format info. Even your own HS website should give you an idea how to set it up, by catagory. You could contact other schools yourself, or look for existing league to join.

In elementary school, I did a contest called the Continental Math League, so try and see if they have any problems posted online.

I also did an EC called The Math Olympiads, so try and check those two out.

This is a contest for grades 2-12, extremely popular in Europe. It has been offered in US for the past few years and is really growing. You will find all the previous contest questions online, so studying should be a breeze...
