Trying to narrow down my list...chance me?

Hi all. Before this begins I would like to apologize in advance if there are any formatting issues, I'm on mobile. Here we go!

Academics:
3.94 GPA uw (school doesn't rank or weight)
34 ACT (34 E, 35 M, 33 R, 34 S)
770 Math II 690 Chem
Junior year: AP calc ab (5) AP Chem (3)- max aps I could take
Senior year: AP physics, AP computer science, AP Calc BC (second semester only- first semester I did an independent study on linear algebra through MIT online. This was almost max APs)
I go to a nationally ranked public school in Washington State.

Activities:
4 years varsity ultimate frisbee (2 years captain. Really passionate about this. Wrote some of my essays about how injuring myself during soccer tryouts was the best thing that has happened to me because I played ultimate instead. Also played select over the summer and have volunteered coaching middle school ultimate players.)
6 years select soccer (until 11th grade, fractured my hip)
JV Cross country 1 year
Played a main role in a one-act play run entirely by students
NHS
Knowledge bowl
Biomedical engineering club
Worked as dishwasher for one summer
Lifeguard training and job next summer

Essays should be great along with 2 of my teacher/counselor recommendations as well, not sure how good the 3rd one will be.

Awards: School chemistry student of the year, NHS

I am a white male from a upper-middle class family.

Will be applying to U Washington( in state), USC, Middlebury, Colby, U Virginia (legacy), Dartmouth (legacy), Williams, Vanderbilt, Colorado College, Cornell(legacy, engineering), Columbia (big legacy+staff, SEAS), WashU (engineering).

I know my list seems scattered but as of right now I feel that I would be equally happy doing physics as engineering.

Thanks a lot!

I think first determine what you want. Urban vs rural. Big school vs small school. East coast vs west coast. To narrow down your list. I’m assuming the colleges you have here match you interests. So now match your preferences.

For instance, I personally need an urban environment so I would immediately cut schools like Cornell and Dartmouth. Next, I personally do not want a tiny school so I would cut WIlliams, Middlebury, and Colby. I personally don’t care about west vs east coast as I like both.

So from there you would have University of Washingotn, USC, UV, Vanderbilt, Colorado college, Columbia and Wash U.

That’s just an example. I’m from Washington State too! If you have any questions I’ll try to reply as soon as I can! Good luck on admissions.

Thanks!
Anyone else for chances? I’ve actually visited most of these schools except for USC, Vanderbilt, and Wash U and I felt like I could fit in at any one of them. I think it’s just that Im pretty adaptable. I really loved the rural setting of Middlebury, Dartmouth, etc as well as the proximity to the outdoors. But I also love the city!

I was more looking for chances so that I could have a well rounded list of safeties, matches, and reaches.

Ivy: reaches(although legacies will help)
Middlebury, Vandy, Wiliams: reach
USC,CC: high match
Vandy-reach due to EC
UVa-low reach
UW: safety

By the way, writing essay about sports is highly unrecommended.

Bump!

About the essay: It’s only one of my supplementary essays. My counselor and english teacher thought it was very good, but I might have to make some adaptions to not be so cliché.

Do you really think UVa is a low reach? Because I’m legacy I get viewed next to the in-state applications, correct? What about my other schools?

Bump

.

Alright…last bump before I give up

Ivies are reaches but I agree the legacies will help. Honestly I think that the rest will be matches, except for Williams and maybe Vanderbilt which would be low reaches. Good luck!
