Hi everyone. I'm a bit new to this site. c:
I took the SATs in May, and I got my scores back.
I'm pleased with my scores considering I did not study a lot, but I'm really disappointed with my essay. I only got an 8. I am usually a great writer, but I panicked when I saw the topic and wrote very sloppily and without much thought. I'm retaking the SATs in October, and I'd love to get an 11 or 12.
Any advice? Thank you! :)

I’d recommend writing an essay out right now before your next retake. Pick a neutral topic that can be adapted to any prompt. Include fancy words and perfect your structure and grammar. This essay should be malleable in order to suit a variety of prompts. This way you’ll only have to think about how to tweak your pre-made essay to the prompt and you won’t have to worry about writing an entire essay. I like to write about Rosa Parks. Good luck!
