Hello, I just accepted my offer of admission to University Park today and I am currently trying to submit my housing application. I have chosen the West Hall - Double as my first choice and Pollock Hall - Double as my second choice and clicked save. However, when I go to the Request Contract section on eLiving, it says something to the effect of "There are no contracts available for the period selected." So, my question is, do I have to wait a certain amount of time after accepting my offer before I can request a contract for housing? Thank you!

if you accept your offer online, i don’t think you have to wait (i didn’t, anyway) but if you send in a check, i think you have to wait until they notify you that they received your fees.

also, freshmen don’t have to request contracts, because we’re all automatically offered one.

Oh okay cool. So, once I click save information under the “I AGREE” part, that’s all I need to do to apply for that housing?

I think that’s all you have to do. You should get an e-mail saying that your contract has been submitted.

How long is it safe to wait to send deposit in order to get first choice of housing.

depends on what your first choice is. if its an SLO, send it in asap. if its east, it probably doesn’t matter. don’t send it in too late, though, because you might get supplemental housing.
