Hello!
I am in my senior year, and my major is Landscape Architecture. I want to learn engineering after I graduate, but my background doesn't meet the prerequisites of graduate degrees. So I want to pursue another bachelor degree in another college(there's no engineering program in my current college). But I don't know if this is feasible... Because the two majors are so different, and few credits can be tranfered.

About a hundred years ago, I made a major switch in disciplines between college and grad school (B.A. in geology, grad school in English literature).

I didn’t get a second bachelor’s degree, but I did take a bunch of English classes as a non-degree student in order to prepare myself for grad school. You could do the second bachelor’s degree, but you may not need to.

My advice is to find the directors of graduate studies at two or three universities that interest you and contact them. Explain your situation, and ask them what you’d need to do in order for them to consider your application viable.

You will not be a transfer student, but rather going back to college for a second degree, which is completely different. You need to check college websites and contact colleges, engineering degrees have very specific requirements, so you may need to do some of these before being accepted into an engineering program. I agree with you that you are unlikely to be able to get into an Eng. grad program without an Eng. UG degree.

I suggest you ask your question on the Engineering Major subforum.

You could take a few courses as a post-bac. I’m considering doing that since my graduate field will be different from my degree too.
