I'm going to try to transfer from NYU to Texas A&M. I have a 3.2 GPA and about 30 dual credit hours from high school along with some AP's. The only problem is that NYU's gen ed requirements won't really transfer over to A&M and I don't know if that is going to hurt me since I won't be "on course" to get a biology/zoology degree. So I would probably have to take extra classes or summer school or even graduate in 5 years if I want to do it. So what are the odds of me getting into biology or zoology from NYU? Do they look at where you come from?

They are pretty much sticklers for having the proper credits when transferring. You might check here [Degree Tracks](http://admissions.tamu.edu/transfer/gettingin/degreeTracks/default.aspx)
