Trying to transfer, need reccomendations

I'm a physics major currently attending a liberal arts college near Rochester (called Roberts Wesleyan, not known very well nationally) and I really want to transfer somewhere because I don't like the atmosphere on campus (the front office does not really recognize undergrads as fully recognized adults and are ridiculous over some things), and also because though I do like and have confidence in my prof, we don't really have a very large physics program. Our program is such that we have to use a partnership with RIT and Univ of Rochester so that upperclassmen can get the more specialized classes. Don't get me wrong, I really like my prof and she has very good credentials (Harvard undergrad, U of R grad), but I'm worried that such a small program (my physics 201 class consists of 5 people this semester) might look bad on an application to a graduate program.

Now, I applied to this college because my HS grades were pretty bad (2.97 was a high note at the end of my senior year), and since my parents went here and we share a religious affiliation, I figured that this was the best place I could get in to considering my grades.

Fall semester I got a 3.17, but that's with a C+ and B- in gen eds (B+, A-, A in Calc/Chem lab/Chem lec). I've looked at several different schools, such as RIT and perhaps Penn State, and RIT admissions seemed to think that just based off of my college grades I have a reasonable chance for acception.

I also plan on my grades being significantly higher this semester as I developed new, better working habits near the end of last semester and only have one gen ed, which is from what I hear exceptionally easy.

My grades were also not due to a lack of ability or intelligence in HS; in all honesty I was just completely unmotivated and lazy. My SATs weren't overly terrific (1280 on the 1600 version), but I also didn't study for these and more or less "winged it." I got a 4 on my AP calc exam under similar circumstances.

I know this seems like someone that hasn't done his homework asking for answers, but I really don't have any clue where I should look to transfer for the fall 06 semester. Any suggestions?
