Trying to Understand Financial Aid Info

Everyone talks about receiving an award letter. UCF said they mailed it but I never received it. They said that I could find the same information online. Here is what I saw:

I am missing something? 'Cause that does not look like an award package. So far my S qualifies for Bright Future and we have Florida Prepaid. Where are all the generous packages I read about. Am I the only one in this situation? What does the above mean?

Ours says basically the same thing. We have Bright Futures also, and I guess we (the parents) will be funding the difference, as well as DS getting a part time job. I have estimated our cost of attendance though, and it is quite a bit lower than UCF’s projections. (We live in state)

my son was just admitted to ucf from the waitlist…thank god. His finanical aid says the same thing?? There is no free money for us, we also have Bright Future and Fla. pre paid. Is there not anything out there for the average hard working middle class to help their kids out too?

There should be a BF projection on there. Call financial aid.

As for the other stuff, they give you non-merit based aid depending on the FAFSA. The later you get accepted, the less likely you are to get grants, as those are first come, first serve. Scholarships, of course, depend on merit or sports.
