Trying to understand UCLA website on how to change major... PLEASE help!

Hello.

I am on this site because my daughter initially applied in dance but would like to change to college of letters and sciences. It seems that she SHOULD be able to do that but then the asterisc on the bottom says you cannot unless you change into communications? I am so confused. She wants to NOT apply to dance as her first choice and go into the letters and sciences.

Does anyone know if she can or cannot do this based on this website? I would appreciate any help.

Not sure what you are reading but it states that you cannot change into Communication studies as a Freshman (not available to Freshman) nor as a Transfer after the Nov 30 application deadline. She has until Jan 31 to switch so contact UCLA now.

Ok I guess I misread. Apparently you CAN change from Arts to Letters and Sciences so we just submitted the change request. You just cannot change the other way (into Arts). Thanks!
