THE TSUNAMI WARNING CONTINUES IN EFFECT FOR THE COASTAL
AREAS OF BRITISH COLUMBIA AND ALASKA FROM THE NORTH TIP OF
VANCOUVER ISLAND BRITISH COLUMBIA TO CAPE DECISION
ALASKA/LOCATED 85 MILES SE OF SITKA/…

Yes, we dodged a bullet again here in Hawaii. Lots of folks were evacuated from potential inundation zones, tsunami warning sirens blasted every 15 minutes over the course of several hours, and I toggled back and forth from my DVRed view of 'Bama vs MSU and live news views of the incoming tide. It was a unique viewing experience and in the end the only tsunami of note was the Crimson Tide.

feeding my weather-addiction, and reading about SANDY, when someone posted a “WHAT WAS THAT!!!” comment about the earthquake in BC…and then the TSUNAMI warnings…

Strangely, in this plugged-in world, where one assumes news travels fast and completely, I could find very few news organizations picking up the TSUNAMI story…

So thought I’d post knowing many of our BAMA members might be affected.

Now that the TSUNAMI bullet has been dodged…

I want to say that I hold all of you on the east coast in my prayers and will continue to think of you and your continued good health during, what will obviously be, a VERY DIFFICULT AND DANGEROUS TIME this week. May the odds be ever in your favor. Roll Tide.
