Can you send stats? Out of over 300 applicants, between 30-50 interview and then finally between 8-12 get accepted.

So my daughter called UMSI admissions, if you haven’t heard anything then they asked to wait till Wednesday, when everything will be sent out. Right now they have sent decisions randomly.

My son showed me this Texas Tech website:

" Early matriculation may be considered after students have completed at least three years of undergraduate study at TTU, so long as applicants demonstrate accelerated levels of professionalism and preparedness for medical school, as well as submit a formal request to the Office of Admissions.

  • Students who apply for early matriculation must have completed all prerequisite coursework, fulfilled the requirements in the UMSI and Honors College Agreements, and submitted all volunteer and healthcare hours"

Do you know anybody was able to matriculate into this medical school after completing his/her BS degree in 2 or 3 years ?

anyone selected for the interview stage wanna connect on social media and study for interview?

Hi All, does anyone have insights on the format of the UMSI interview? Any help will be highly appreciated!

Hello, Best of luck! For my elder one it was two half hour sessions with TTU HSC doctors. They gave the names of person interviewing 30 minutes before. Based on their speciality(google) and my D’s interest/volunteering, she carried the conversation. Her first interviewer was pulmonologist & my daughter had asthma. So there was lot to talk. If you are familiar with Lubbock talk about it as it will show your commitment.

  • Why Medicine?
-Tell something that is no where mentioned in the application
    -Talk about hospital volunteering/research
    -Why this BSMD program?

Best of luck!
