Tuck Ranked #1 By Forbes

I believe this is now the third year running that Tuck was ranked #1. The ranking was basically based on starting salary minus cost of living and education. Considering that is what many, many people getting an MBA look at....congrats TUCK!

Go TUCK !

Lol Tuck is actually a great program but I have a hard time believing its #1. Location is irrelevant for undergrad yet relevant at the mba level. On the other hand tuck is one of the most fun schools in the country and is very tightknit. Easily in the top 8 schools.

Besides that, Dartmouth got jipped in rankings this year.
Did anyone see the new Princeton Review rankings? Dartmouth only made it onto two lists: Most Selective and Big Greek Scene.

What about Most Politically Active? Campus Dining? Administration Runs Like Butter? Happiest Students?

At least we're one of only two Ivies (Princeton's the other) to get an A+ in academics from College Pro wler.

And yeah we are A+/- on theu.com too ! :)

Tuck is definitely number one for business. There is no doubt in my mind. The Dartmouth alumni network and D's connections to wall street are vastly superior to every other school I have seen. Lehman brothers, a top financial firm, has this super-competitive program for recent grads. Im sure every top student interested in business at HYPS, wharton, and Dartmouth applies. They only select 10 people. Last year, 4 of the 10 were from Dartmouth. THat's really high considering how many more people apply from other schools.

Dartmouth UNDERGRAD placement is easily top 5-6, but don't confuse this with Tuck. Tuck is a graduate school, Dartmouth is undergrad. Dartmouth's alumni network is amazing and incredible, tuck is also great but at the graduate level its in the top 8.

I think HBS is the #1 business school. Just throwing it out there.

Well, the Princeton Review didn't put Dartmouth into the "Administration runs like butter" list because the administration doesn't run like butter.

Trust me it runs more like butter than 99% of schools and more-so than ever other top 10 except perhaps princeton and amherst/williams (tied).

I agree with slipper. It has its faults, to be sure (e.g. dean's offices and student financial services bad, registrar, career services, computing, and financial aid good), but on the whole is exceptionally well-run. After having to run through a rigamarole with some other top universities (try three hours to register for classes, or over a week to get network access), I appreciate Dartmouth's administration (or at least some facets of it) far more.
