Other Things

  1. Applied for financial aid (if that makes a difference)
  2. LOR's from AP English teacher, Sophomore Year History/Swim Coach, and sent a peer rec from my friend. Everything was very seamless and they each backed up my entire application.
  3. Will be a first-gen college student, and one parent is unemployed (7 mo.)
  4. Have been accepted to Northeastern and UMass so far. []
  5. Toured Tufts, showed demonstrated interest as much as possible, and listed the 3 students I know + my teacher who's a Tufts alumnus (on the CommonApp)

Great profile! I wouldn’t be surprised if you’re admitted. With RD, demonstrated interest is huge. If Tufts is your first choice, I’d suggest trying to relay that, maybe through your school counselor to your area rep. My son just got in ED2 with strong grades (3.9 in an IB school), decent SAT’s (1440, and SAT II’s of 770, 770), good EC’s, and no hooks. Your profile is stronger than his. Good luck!!

@moh208 thank you for the response!

Impressive!

Hope you were admitted!

@thirdkid I actually was! I’ll be attending Brown this fall, but I loved Tufts just as much

@mattm2019 _I would like you to help me with my application to Tufts. I’ll just pile up everything and send them to you for review if they’re good enough to escape rejection.
