[/ul]Reflection[ul]
[] Strengths: As I mentioned earlier, my essays were incredible. My interview was also superb, but I think the real take away is that I’m exactly the kind of person (personality wise) that Tufts is looking for. Through my essays and my interview, I was able to convey that.
[] Weaknesses: My SAT I score was lower than I wanted it to be.
[] Why you think you were accepted: As I said above, I think I’m a great fit personality wise. However, on second thought, I think my slightly lower SAT scores actually worked in my favor. A lot of kids from my high school get into Harvard each year, and so students in general are affected by Tufts Syndrome pretty badly. Seems like Tufts thought that Harvard probably wouldn’t take me, so they decided I was safe to admit-- solid!
[] Where else were you accepted/waitlisted/rejected: I was accepted to Skidmore (w/ Porter Scholarship for Math and Science, merit), Grinnell (w/ Trustee Scholarship, merit), Northeastern (EA), UMass Amherst, and UVM. I was wait listed at MIT, Carleton, and Vassar. Deferred from Brown. Rejected at the Carnegie Mellon School of Computer Science (no surprise there).
[/ul]**General Comments: **
Today was maybe the best day of my life thus far. Tufts is my dream school, and I’m just so so so SO happy I got in. I’m waiting on Harvard, Brown and Yale tomorrow, but even if I get in to any of those (which, let’s be real-- I probably won’t), Tufts is still at the top of my list. Congrats to everyone else who was accepted, and to those who weren’t, best of luck to you!
