Tufts ED

Hi all:

I was just wondering how competitive Tufts ED was.

Here are my stats:
-SAT: 2080
-Highest classes possible, B+/A- uw average
-1100 hrs volunteer service at Museum of Science in Boston
-Exhibit Interpretation internship @ MOS (paid, summer)
-Discovery Center internship @ MOS (paid, following summer)
-Retail job @ TJMaxx, Customer Service Coordinator/Frontline Supervisor (30-35 hrs/week)
-Boy Scouts of America, Life Scout
-Spanish, Math, Chess clubs

My biggest problem is that I don't have much time to do EC activities and my grades aren't stellar because of my job hours. Planning to retake SATs. I'm looking to go into the bio department/premed.

Thanks in advance :-)

What about your SAT IIs? Tufts requires at least two if you're using the SAT Reasoning test scores. You mention a B+/A- for your classes; what classes are they? (I'd say that's important when looking at the context of your GPA). What's your class rank?

If you didn't list SAT IIs because you haven't taken any, I suggest taking two instead of retaking the SAT. Judging by your interests, I think Biology and Math IIC would be the right ones to take. However, if you did take them, please list them.

whoops, sorry.

top 10% of class

Have not taken SAT2s yet.

heres my classes:

thanks

Bring up your GPA in your junior and senior years if you can. If you can solidify your GPA in those years, at those levels of difficulty, then you certainly have good shot at Tufts ED. As for SAT IIs, you look like your set up for Math (IIC) and Biology or Physics or both. Your SAT seems acceptable, but you have time left to increase if you do so desire.
