Hey everyone! I couldn’t find a thread for Tufts ED2 so I decided to create one:)
good, I too couldn’t find any. So ED rejected?
@momonepal nope! deferred from Harvard but Tufts is actually my number one choice. I applied REA to Harvard to do everything I could to try to get in (I have a special tie to Harvard) but I was planning to apply to Tufts ED2 regardless of the outcome because I truly love it:) What about you?
I applied ED 2! Hopeful that with an interview and the supplemental pieces, it’ll all be enough to get me accepted! Tufts is a bit of a reach for me but I’m so in love with the school. Keeping my fingers crossed!
@deemech4 are interviews seen as very beneficial? not a critique just wondering if I should or should have pursued one myself.

Tufts’ Common Data Set lists interviews as “considered” not “important” or " very important".
Does anyone know which day the decisions came out?
Have you all been contacted for interviews? My daughter requested one, but hasn’t heard anything.

I think interviews are only offered based on whether or not you have nearby alumni only. I got an email from someone who went my high school and graduated tufts in 2018 on the 15th after also requesting on the 2nd
Yeah, interviews are solely determined on if there is an accessable alumni that lives near you. If there isn’t, you don’t get one. And guess what, it doesn’t hurt your chances for admission at all!

from pa. here we go again!!! son applied ed2 as well. did not request an interview, as our high school counselor said it was not necessary. fyi,from private school. not real sure how i feel about the whole interview process as my son had one for his ed1 school. that interview went extremely well. the interviewer was from my son’s high school and he still didn’t get in. the school was also a reach. from talking with others, it seems that the interview doesn’t help or hurt the process unless you have a personality that is way off from what Tufts is looking for. if you do interview just be yourself and talk about things that may not necessarily be on your application and ask some questions about tufts that may not appear on the website… good luck to all. a very selective school. all should be grateful to get in. son is very optimistic about this college process, as a parent i can’t wait for it to be over
