I'm really interested in Tufts University, and I'm applying as a prospective student this year. I was pretty disheartened by the whole financial aid debacle that occured last year, however (though debacle may be too harsh a word, given that the circumstance was out of university control) in which the university dropped its need-blind policy for the last 10% of applicants due to the financial crisis.

Maybe I'm just paranoid, but can it be assured that something like this won't happen again this year? Not just at Tufts necessarily, but at other universites as well?
