D will be graduating 5/2018. When do I need to start booking hotels?

My son is also graduating then. I don’t know when I’ll make the reservation. I’ll probably call a few hotels on the Tufts preferred list that offer a discount to tufts-related reservations to ask them when I should make the commencement reservation.
