My interviewer didn’t seem to know much about interviewing. He was preoccupied with taking notes on everything I said, like in a lecture. Didn’t ask interesting questions at all. Just “tell me about yourself” and “what do you know about Tufts?” And “what do you want tufts to know about you?”

I tried to put in as much info as I could into those very non specific questions - but the interview barely lasted 30 minutes. I was disappointed. Other interviews if done were about an hour and they were all really fun and interesting.

My Tufts interview was amazing. My best interview, hands down. It felt like a real conversation, not an interrogation and while she wrote things down, she wasn’t staring at her paper. She also seemed genuinely interested in what I was saying, and told me about herself too.

I just had my skype interview. It was very relaxed and felt like a conversation. He didn’t really focus as much on the conventional questions like why tufts and whatnot. However he talked quite a bit about himself. It almost felt like he didn’t know what to ask, so it only lasted 25 min. Is that a bad thing?
@lyonshall I think it just means you had a bad interviewer. Interviews do not have a big impact to your application either way so don’t worry about it.
I haven’t been contacted yet either. Maybe it has to do with location, but I am a bit nervous. I decided I’ll probably call or email admissions if I’m not contacted in the next week or two.
Haha, I hoped so too! It’s probably still both of our general areas. If I don’t get contacted by February 1st or a little earlier, I might call or email the school because I’m neurotic.
