<p>I wanted to make the CollegeConfidential community aware of something new we're trying in undergraduate admissions. </p>
<p>The last year here on CC has shown me how there needs to be an unfiltered discussion about admissions and specific institutions. I've always believed that candid conversations serve everyone in the process, which is the primary reason I was drawn to CC in the first place. And while CC is great for those conversations, it doesn't provide a true opportunity for prospective students to actually meet current students.</p>
<p>And so I've worked over this summer with an incoming freshman and a rising senior to create a space on Facebook for prospective students to connect with current students outside of an admissions venue. A campus tour is a wonderful thing, but it doesn't provide the sort of one on one interactions that allow discourse to run deep. </p>
<p>Join the Facebook group and find an opportunity to message and befriend current students - to learn more about the fabric of the individuals that comprise our community.</p>
