Tufts Picture!

So admissions says that they appreciate a picture that captures your spirit..
Should I send a picture of myself getting pied? It's a picture I really love, but my face isn't really visible (for obvious reasons).

That sounds creative!

I didn't see them ask for that anywhere...?

i think that is a great idea for a picture. I don't think it matters if they can actually see your face; its not really an id picture :) good luck!

I didn't see them ask for a picture anywhere. are you applying with the common app or is there a separate tufts application?

maguni, i think they'd love it, b/c it says a lot about you!

Where does it say something about submitting a picture?

right after the 8th optional question
Completing the Application - Office of Undergraduate Admissions - Tufts University
The Admissions Committee also welcomes a photograph that captures the spirit of your personality and style.

It's kinda odd that they didn't put that on the common app supplement... I never looked at the above mentioned site.

It's on the supplement, but it's after all the optional essays, so it's easy to miss.

I think that picture sounds like a great idea, by the way.

is there some way of sending in a picture online? i don't see any space for it on the supplement.

Wow. I completely missed that. :/ I don't know if I have any especially good pictures of me anyway.

You'd have to mail it in old school.

Don't worry about the picture, Phedre. It's something that can be fun for us (both you and me). And while I think everyone could use a little more fun in the process, your admission isn't going to hinge on a picture.

Yeah, I figured it probably doesn't matter as much in the context of my whole application.

BTW, I just want to comment on how helpful you are Dan. Having an admissions counselor answering questions is so comforting. Applying is sort of a terrifying process and it's really nice to hear from one of the people involved. Thanks for being here!

It's my pleasure! I am (tremendously) biased, but the Tufts board is a great place to be.
