Thanx squiggle 88!

Rejected!!!
2 in one day! I got rejected from Dartmouth today too. I guess I'll be going to Boston College! I liked Boston College better anyways. It just might be awkward if I decide to apply for Tufts Medical school and I have to tell them I was rejected allready from Tufts for undergrad! I am starting to get used to the sound of rejection letters, but they are much harsher online! They say to apply to 2 reach schools, I did, and it was a waste of my time and my money! But it was still worth it because I liked the interviews. For my Tufts interview I was meeting my interviewer at Starbucks, so I smiled at every old guy who walked in, but it turned out my interviewer was a young guy and I ended up having a lot of old men smiling back at me!! Congragulations to everyone who got in! And to all of us who recieved multiple rejections today, now we can at least brag about how we got rejected from some of the best schools in the country!!

Well, I applied to Cornell and Tufts, but I liked Tufts better. Got into cornell, but got rejected from tufts. Isn't it supposed to be the other way around?! :-O

Gender: male

Other Factors:

Extracurriculars: 11 years of playing violin, poetry writer/literary magazine, a lot of random stuff (I was potpourri man, I had to try everything once)
Why I think I was accepted/rejected/waitlisted: Man, I had the SWEETEST supplemental essay ever. You know how it was like, what you want your legacy to be? So I made it like a front-page obituary noting that I had died. It even had a picture of me that I took at the computer while I was making it. lol. everyone I showed it to cracked up, but they also loved it.
Other comments: I kind of expected it. My friend and I went in with hyperflated egos, assuming everyone would love us and we'd get in everywhere. Tufts, as much as I loved it when I visited it, thus became an 'illusory safety' because of my mindset. I'm happy I got in, very happy. I didn't realize my vulnerability until 3 ivy waitlists, lol.

I AM TOO HAPPY! I only applied to Georgetown and Tufts and I got rejected from G-town. And I thought that's the end :( but it wasn't! And I AM TOOO HAPPY!! I love bluirinka! Blu you really made me want to go to Tufts! I CANNOOOOT wait to see you there. haha I sound like a psycho, but please excuse me - I was so average!

[li] why you think you were accepted/rejected/defered: I think this is living proof that stats aren't everything. I was well below the top 10%, and my SATs were average for Tufts. To everyone applying next year: make your application alive, be honest and tell them who you really are, and if it was meant to be everything will fall into place.[/li][/ul]Other Factors: a very pretentious picture I sent them

wow, impressive!!

lol I guess the rumors are true...Tufts really is the place for people who get rejected from the ivies...

...idk if this is a good thing or a bad thing, but I'm choosing Hopkins over Tufts.

I guess for those who got waitlisted, this may be a good thing, but Tufts prolly accepts way more than they could possibly admit anyway. Good luck to all those who were waitlisted though.

Location/Person:
State or Country: CA
School Type: Private
Ethnicity: Caucasian/Hispanic
Gender: Female
Major strength/weakness: I am the co-president of a community service club that I helped start, I've been volunteering every week at a food pantry since 7th grade, I am the senior class community service rep, I placed 5th in the nation on the National Spanish Exam, I'm in CSF, and I'm a National Hispanic Merit Scholar. On the weakness side, I didn't score highly on the math part of the SAT no matter how hard I studied.
Special skills/abilities: Besides what's listed above, I play piano and tennis, and I can tell you random facts about nearly every single Beatles song ever recorded.
Why you think you were accepted/rejected/defered: Because I've worked so damn hard these last six years, and somehow that showed in my application. Really, I don't know, because the applicants are so amazingly qualified, and I just feel really lucky to have been accepted.

Other Factors: I am really thrilled to be accepted at Tufts; I will most likely go there. Congratulations to all!!
