The second question is a bit more abstract. While the question has a preamble, the essence of the query is simple: “What makes you tick?” Is there something that gets you out of bed in the morning (besides your mother or an iphone alarm)? If I had to answer my own prompt it’d be a close call between gardening and politics but, as much as I love my tomatoes and lilies, I suppose the latter would be a better representation of my deep and long-term interest in all things political. It’s what I discuss and debate with friends and colleagues; it’s the blogs I bookmarked on my Mac; it’s where my idealism and pragmatism crash together like a cold front interrupts a heat wave in July. For you, maybe the answer is food (cooking it or eating it) or athletics (watching it or playing it) or technology (using it or tinkering with it). It’s your call. And there’s no right or wrong answer. Something makes you hum. Tell us what it is.
