for the optional essay, one option was to put a 1 minute video on youtube (they offered the same thing to the freshmen applicants)

Ah, in that case, no I did not. I did the it’s not easy being green one. Anyone else care to share what they did theirs on if they did the optional essay?

anybody hear from Tufts yet?

yes I did, rejected

@gabbarsigh… I am sorry to hear that :(. When did you send in your application? and when did you hear back?

Seriously?! But people were just talking about not hearing until end of May/beginning of July!

whoa! what??! did you get notification by snail mail or email? sorry to hear that also. aaack.

i knew it! there was no way there were waiting until june to release admissions decisions. i had heard about april notifications but i didn’t believe it. I think they actually start notifying as soon as they an idea as to how many of the freshman class will be attending.

Hah, I just got everything submitted yesterday. (My school was real determined to make the official letter take almost a month and in the end all they did was sign it and tell me to fill out the rest to my liking. oh joy!) Still not expecting to get in by any means but I wrote about the “are we alone?” for the optional essay.

Wow, that’s really late. I only got in my midterm report for another school yesterday, and it took me a month to muster the courage to ask all of my professors to sign it. Schools are a little more lenient about administrative paperwork, though.

I do remember e-mailing Tufts about whether or not they wanted a midterm report. They said they wanted end of semester grades, when they were available. My semester ends in two weeks and I’d probably have the grades a week before June…so I dunno…d’you think they would consider second semester grades?

i submitted my app on march 15th. everything else was postmarked by march 15th. got a rejection letter in the mail. probably got it quicker since the address on my app was from boston.

What major did you apply for? Also, was your decision posted on TAMS at the same time you received the letter?

yea, was your decision posted on TAMS?

applied to engineering. nop, didnt show up on TAMS

Engineering? that might be why…Don’t those get looked at by a different group all together? or am i mixing up tufts with another school.

I was accepted today, letter came in the mail. I applied as a sophomore transfer from NYU.

Congratulations!

Congrats. I guess now I just have to wait since the address it will be sent to is at home (a state away) but I’ll be home on wednesday. So it will show up on TAMS as well (again, I dont expect to get in by any means) since I’m going to be out of the US on a medical brigade for a large amount of the summer…

percpaul, what major did you apply to?

Californian transfer here. this next month is going to feel like an eternity…

so letters then tams? or no tams at all?
