@waterwise I don’t think anyone’s heard from Tufts yet except ED candidates! They release all decisions at once, I believe, but haven’t yet announced when exactly that will be.
@waterwise honestly thats one of the dumbest things I’ve ever heard lol. Thanks for making my day!
Does anyone know the potential time for when decisions will be released?
@lulu7575 3pm ET.
I’m wanting to major in mechanical engineering and applied mathematics, does anyone here know if Tufts would be a good place to major in these things? I heard it’s more of a liberal arts-y college and focuses more on the humanities
@waterwise Don’t worry. They’ll release results all at once. Although, ED2 applicants weren’t told when they were released, so that might happen with us too. Which means we might come home to find an email saying your decision has been updated or something… personally, that terrifies me a bit haha.
^ even worse when your portal updates in class lmao #justpacifictimethings
@thenewstyped Oh that’s the worst… I can’t imagine having to concentrate on school knowing that your decision is up
What’s the likeliness that decisions won’t come out Thursday 3 EST?
@ap012199 Well they haven’t given us an official date yet so it’s pretty likely. I’m hopeful though
UGH this is my last one I just want to know already. I got waitlisted at Wake and Virginia though so I’m not insanely optimistic. Tufts is a reach.
When are decisions released?
typically at 2 or 3 pm est, hopefully by 3/20
I have a question. I applied for tufts fly in program and I got in. I had the chance to see the campus and meet the Dean. Does going to the fly in program (which was a holistic review of my Gpa, activities, and sat) guarantee my acceptance?
@KingUU no, but it will make you a very likely accept. For example, 97% of kids who got into the UPenn fly in Program who later applied were accepted.
@ap012199 thank you for replying! I hope I get in, it’s my number 1 right now.
@KingUU out of curiosity, are you a minority? And what are your stats if you don’t mind my asking?
@ap012199 yeah I’m African American. And yeah I don’t mind. GPA UW: 3.96 W: 4.6 rank 3/100 New SAT 1300. Teachers Rec 9/10 both taught me for honors and for AP courses. Essays: 8/10 kinda feel like I could of done better. Tried to keep my activities small but very committed. I am a Coca Cola scholar, AxA Achievement Scholar and Ron Brown Scholar .
@KingUU wow, nice resume! I think if you got into the fly in you’ll get in, but transfer rates from the fly in to actual acceptance could differ from school to school.
Is there a scenario in which someone choose Northeastern honors over Tufts? Thanks for your thoughts.
