I know Georgetown is more prestigious, and I'm planning to follow a pre-med track and do some musical activities...

How do you 'know' Gtown is more prestigious? ;) And even if it's true—why does that matter to you? Consider these things.

Now, Tufts is great for pre-medical sciences; excellent med school placement. Also a great early-acceptance program for spectacular undergraduates into Tufts' own medical school. (Skip the MCATs!)

Tufts also has invested a great deal of money and time and facilities into the music department and program. It has state-of-the-art facilities unrivaled at most other schools -- including the most acoustically perfect performance hall in the northeast! Further, you can consider taking courses (or doing a dual-degree) at the New England Conservatory (a program that only exists at Harvard and Tufts).

^Also New England Conservatory option is also available at Northeastern University in addition to Harvard and Tufts.

I'm pretty sure that Northeastern has a connection with the conservatory but that Harvard and Tufts are the only schools with which it has dual degree programs.

Degrees & Majors

Am I wrong?

Not sure Seashore, oh that's hard to say, but Northeastern stated at admitted students day that you could take courses there.

the two schools have very different social cultures and attract different types of students. Keep that in mind as you make your decision. Academically, they're probably about the same. I don't really know which is better for pre-med, but Tufts has a great pre-med program.

Georgetown is more prestigious.. not by much.. and academically both are equal.. Tufts is better for pre-med

bump........
