I'm having a dilemma as to which place to go!!

I'm looking for a liberal arts education, then looking to go to law school. My possible majors for undergrad are economics, international relations.

social scene is a big plus for me (not necessarily meaning drinking), as well as having a good college experience (nice town, nice campus, etc.)

I'm leaning towards Tufts, but help me out here, pros/cons, opinions, whatever, lay it out if you can.

If you want to study econ & IR, there's really no question about it, if finaid's not an issue: Tufts. Very good placement to law school, as well. 8:1 student/faculty ratio, too.

Tufts will have the strongest academic student body, but BC is probably more fun with not that much worse academics. I get the impression that Emory is closer to Tufts on the academic side, but not as much fun as either, but am going more off of perceived reputation than much first-hand knowledge.

Emory has at least as strong of a student body as Tufts (actually somewhat stronger), more internsip/research opportunities, warm weather, beautiful campus, laidback students, great law school placement. BC will have more conservative student body than other two.

I would drop BC from the list and pick between Tufts and Emory based on the fit.

BC has a VERY good international studies program, definitely the most difficult major within the college of A&S. I cannot stress this enough though, PLEASE visit the schools and DO NOT base your pick on rankings! The three schools are so incredibly close academically that rankings are irrelevant. One of my best friends is at BC, she originally chose Tufts because her admissions counselor told her it was a better school, but felt unsure personally about her choice...so called both schools on May 1st, withdrew from Tufts and enrolled at BC...and she loves the place more than anyone I know (she's also an honors student in the school of management, which is very well renowned)

I love BC...regardless of the competitors' rankings, it's still a tremendous school with excellent school spirit (superb bball football and hockey teams). The campus is awesome, so is the party scene, and the jesuits are awesome too. I would go to BC in a heartbeat over Tufts or Emory.

im deciding on schools too, so im not a college student yet, but tufts is known for its international relations and study abroad programs......plus its in medford/sommerville meaning its right in boston-area and plenty to do...

just consider the environments. BC, for example, is well known for offering a high-quality liberal arts education. I would consider Tufts, on the other hand, very "intellectual". On an intelligence/academic level, I'd consider BC and Tufts virtually equal, they just approach things differently and have very different student bodies. The general feeling I get from the two suggests that a Tufts student might prefer to attend a political speaker in the city on a Friday night while BC students might prefer to go out to eat, then come back and party in preparation for the next day's big home football game. Don't get me wrong, BC students are VERY intelligent, they might just approach it in a different way than Tufts kids.

I'd very much pick Tufts because I think it rates above the other two schools in most every category possible: alumni connections, academics (especially for what you particularly want to study, Choiand1), location, resources (again, especially for what you want to study! IR majors get to do all kinds of amazing stuff all over the world, paid by Tufts dollar), grad school placement, etc.
