tufts vs Johns Hopkins undecided major

I just got into both! I am strongest in English and this is the way I'm leaning toward a major.
Both schools have strong programs. Trying to decide where I'll fit in best.
Any thoughts?

Well purely by USNEWS&WR rankings (which seem to be a predominant driving force on cc, lol) I’d say Hopkins. Prestige? I’d still say Hopkins. But honestly, it all comes down to fit. You could be at fricking Harvard and be miserable if it wasn’t the environment/location/climate/academics you were looking for. All in all, after visiting - whatever school speaks to you and feels more like home, is the one you should attend. And congrats on two fantastic options! :)

The press that my son heard about Hopkins was, like Tufts, excellent academics. He also heard that Hopkins was academic not collegiate (lacking in the social, school spirit, that sort of thing), at all, that the libraries remained full on the first Spring day instead of everyone hanging outside to enjoy the first day of lovely weather after so much snow, reading, throwing a frisbee, and, told to him, by an unhappy Hopkins student looking to transfer, that the Hopkins undergrads wear other schools’ sweatshirt and t-shirts because a lot of them are unhappy at Hopkins.
