Which school do you think would be better for a History major? And also which one is harder to get into?

Bump........

Anyone know anything about these schools?

bump......

They're both excellent schools, but I think Wellesley's considered a "better" school by a lot of people. You'd probably be able to find good history programs at either school, and the classes at both schools will be relatively small--but Wellesley's will probably be a bit smaller. As far as admissions go, they are probably similar. I think Wellesley's admit rate is a bit higher than Tufts, so it may technically be easier to get into, but it's applicant pool may be a bit stronger, so it's hard to say. Ultimately though, they are very different schools. You'd get a great education at either one, but you really need to ask yourself if you want a women's school or a coed one. Visting is really important with the choice between these 2.

Thanks alot. I have visited them, I live right in medford, but it seemed like they both had good history depts. I guess I am just hoping someone knows first hand about either or. I don't really have a preference for either all girls or co-ed.
