Can anyone respond please??

You've got a great chance.

What about my GPA? I am scared because it's awfully low. See the thing is, prior to junior year my GPA was about a 3.8. It dropped a little because I don't like working hard, and now I feel like I should have worked harder. But anyways, do universities like Tufts take into consideration that it dropped during a specific year? Also, can you guys throw in some names of random universities that are similar in calibur to Tufts? That would be great. Thanks.

I think your scores are great, and you should get into Tufts, esp if you apply ED.

do pre-med and Tufts mix? from what I have researched Tufts seem to be more of a literature and politices school than a science school? Do anyone know how good is the pre-med program/advising/med-school placement rate???

Might want to look at Brandeis and Holy Cross. HC has very good pre-med like Tufts,. In addition HC has a good lacrosse program with brand new facility.

Tufts has great pre-med, predental, and pre-vet programs

See, the thing is I am also extremely interested in business. Are there any other unversities that I should be looking at that are similar to Tufts?

Your test scores make you a perfect candidate for Tufts, but a drop in GPA in your Junior year is not good for anyone. Make sure to get good 1st semester senior grades in case you get deferred--a grade hike now would help you a lot.

Is the 3.6 weighted or unweighted? If it's weighted, then definitely do well in senior year.

Oh, sorry I didn't clarify. It's unweighted. But nonetheless, my plans are to work really hard senior year. If I do well senior year, what do my chances of getting in look like?

What about Georgetown? Are they in the Tufts range or higher or lower? Do I stand a chance there?

You don't like working hard, but you want to go to a competitive college and be PRE-MED????????! HA!

Ummm, just relax a little, buddy. Yes, it's true that it's much easier to slack off in high school, but I know that when the time comes I will certainly work harder. I am much smarter than I look on paper, as arrogant as that sounds. Now, can someone answer my previous question, "What about Georgetown? Are they in the Tufts range or higher or lower? Do I stand a chance there?" Thanks.

Georgetown is harder than Tufts and you have little chance.

^agreed .

Oh arite, thanks.

No real shot at Georgetown, unless there's something you've left out. What exactly were your grades junior year? Were they "bad" both semesters, or just one?

Well, it wasn't all of my classes, it was only a couple of AP classes that were really annoying, but i ended up getting 5's on the AP's anyway.
