Tuition Assistance Program (TAP)

Hello,

I am a high school student who is currently filling out the TAP application, but I have run into a problem. I am at the College step where it is asking to pick the terms for my college of choice.
First of all, I haven’t been accepted to any colleges yet, so I don’t even know what to put down for which college I am going to.
To fill in the spot, I put my first chose, assuming I will get in, and pressed next. But now they are asking me to enter the Student ID assigned to me by the college. I haven’t been accepted yet so I can’t even enter an ID. I tried this for other colleges but it asks for the Student ID from the selected college.
I really want to get this TAP application done, and my brother said he never had to do this Student ID step when he was first applying. I was told I could do it right after I finished my FAFSA, but right now I am running into this problem.

I would sincerely appreciate if someone could help me out here!

Um can this person help me?

Yes…she can help. That is why I tagged her.

Check to make sure that you are using the correct school year. You may have put your information in for 2019-2020 instead of 2020-2021. 2019-2020 would already have you in school which is why you are being asked for an
ID number

@sybbie719
Thank you for responding.
No, I have it as 2020-2021, but is still asking for my ID number.

I don’t know anything about TAP…but is there a question that asks what year in college you are? If so, does this form think you are a returning student?

Did you indicate that you have never been to college(first time student)

When it asked you which application do you want to qwork on

Are you abso,Ute Ly sure you cjhose 2020-2021

Then it will ask your to select one school and the terms you hope to attend
