tuition at NU

OK not sure if this is the right place for this but i cant think of anywhere else,
I really like Northeastern but not sure if I can afford it, it just so happens im lucky enogh to fall in the range where i dont exactly have the money to be paying 40,000+ a year for a school out of pocket but make just too much money that I probably wont get too much from the government

so taking this into account, as you may or may not know, the majority of people at northeastern take advantage of the co-op and graduate in 5 years. When i attended the open house they said you dont pay tuition for when your working, but you are going to school for some time when you are working even if its less then normal.
To wrap it up, my question is would the 40,000 a year be x4 years or x5 anyone know? 160,000 is way different from 200,000

x2-x3 if you're using their COOP progam. A lot of people start in their junior year.

WHere do you get $40k a year from? The CollegeBoard site says $28k...

Not to hijack your thread or anything.. I doubt I can get that much merit based aid (only 3.5gpa and HORRIBLE SAT score) but does NU give out grants (need-based as in family income < $40k around $23k to be exact) ? I'd like to minimize loans..

ksanders, Yes it is 28,400, but then there are additional "fees" and room and board. Oh yeah, and don't forget books and walking around money. Fees can be quite substantial- like health insurance.

I don't think it costs 2-3x more for using the coop program. My understanding is that one pays room and board while working. During the coop time, one earns a salary that can pay the room and board. How that changes financial aid for the following year is another story; I just don't know about that.
