Hi I was just wondering if anyone here has been involved/received tuition exchange scholarships at Pitt. I'm in the process of applying there and I wanted to know what my chances of te are, and if they're stingy about it or not. If it's at all important I have a 3.5 uw gpa and a 31 act

Have you looked here? https://oafa.pitt.edu/tuition-exchange-program/ Apparently the minimum scholarship is determined by the exchange. The most recent # listed is $33K

It will also depend on the school your parent works for, and whether there are a lot of requests from other student who want to go there. While it is not a one-to-one exchange requiring one student from X college to go into the exchange and X school to take one student off the exchange, if the school where the parent works never has any requests, the exchange spot at Pitt may go to another student from a school where more kids want to go.

I think most of the exchange schools only credit $33k or so as the amount of the exchange, so if the tuition and fees are more, you have to pay and my understanding is most schools don’t stack the exchange money and merit money.

Hmm alright thank you for the replies! Pitt isn’t too expensive since I’m in state so the $33k should be fine, but the college my dad works at is small… Oh well hopefully I’ll receive it anyways, thank you both again!

@Keepcalm5 - did you get TE at Pitt? My son has almost identical scores and will be applying this coming year, but we’re out of state.
OP hasn’t been on CC since last year…I doubt you will get a response.
