Hi there -
We are new to Tuition Exchange universe. Is anyone familiar with TE at Franklin & Marshall? We have a committed athlete who was granted admission for Early Decision. In her admission letter, it described that TE will be awarded by April 1st. The TE Website says that less than 10% of all students are offered the TE each year. Interestingly Bucknell has the same language but then goes on to say " Of the 69 TE applicants admitted to Bucknell University for the 2018-2019 academic year, 41 were offered TE scholarships and 13 enrolled." 41/69 is 60% of those who applied were awarded this. Trying to understand what this means and is the TE award soley based on academics? She has a 3.6 and decided not to submit her SAT scores as it was optional. Is it truly less than a 10% chance to get this TE or is it hopefully higher. Thanks

We found the percent offered to be off at a number of institutions. Have you reached out to the TE coordinator to see if they can give you more info? Can the coach run interference for this? Does the coach know that TE is an important part of the funding equation?
Our D20 athlete did not end up at a TE school unfortunately but S19 is at one and did receive it at Bucknell, but did not attend. I would normally say that stats should be above the 75% for the school, but all bets are off when athletics are part of the equation.
I don’t have first-hand experience at F&M though.
