Tuition Exchange for Fall 2022 Freshman applicants (Class of 2026)

Sorry, I forget this is the 22 frosh thread. Mine will be 23. I just follow for any TE info I can get!

It’s never too early to start! I was doing the same when I was stalking for my S19.

I’m not sure where they have touted holistic, when I inquired they were quite honest they rank students on grades, rigor and (usually) test scores. They offer TE to top 18, waitlist the next 18, and reject the rest. So maybe they’ve changed their messaging?

Does Delaware offer free tuition to its own F&S? They import 18 so does that mean that someone tracks that they have 18 exports as well or do they just import 18 knowing that some of their F&S kids wish to go elsewhere?

Heard from another school today.

S22 applied TE @ 7 schools:
2 offered TE
2 denied TE
3 still waiting

Do you mind naming the schools so we know which have made decisions? The silence is deafening.

He has heard from Butler, Case Western, UIndy, and Valpo.

Are you in state to FSU or just really liked the programs and vibe? It’s possibly in my son’s top two.

Son applying for TE:

Fordham
Providence
Fairfield
Stonehill

Really wants Providence, weighted gpa of 4.0 and SAT score of 1410- lots of activities and sports and volunteer work. Wondering if anyone has any experience/results with TE at any of these schools!
TIA

The Net Price Calculator is a Godsend!
I heard from others that it is pretty accurate as well. I made a spreadsheet and did The NPC for all of D22 potential schools.
All schools have one on their website. You just need all of the previous years financial info to get an approximation of the aid you’ll receive and total cost to you.

We are also waiting to hear From Fordham, Pace, USC and U of San Francisco.

@SuntasticMom We are hoping to be a BU export family next year (DD23). We are nervous about making the cut since so few employees qualify. Would you be willing to share your number of BU service years? My husband is at 25 years but :woman_shrugging:

Also, when did you learn that you qualified? She is also considering BU as an option. Do you know anything about being able to stack merit scholarships with tuition remission at BU. It looks like she will qualify as a National Merit Semi Finalist …

Sorry for the slew of questions and realize you might not know all of the answers since you aren’t pursuing BU as an option.

@mom2one2022 I am going to send you a PM!

Congratulations!! Such a beautiful location too!!

Such a long wait for my DD’s favorites. She received a denial from a school that she had since removed from her list. It is Assumption in Worcester, MA. I’m not certain if they believe the new Nursing program sells itself, or there were a lot of super high stats kids. She’s at their 75% so who knows.

So far:
Western New England - full tuition
Clarkson - set rate 40K plus the upper end of the 2k-10k scholarships that are stackable.
Alfred University - no official answer, but an unofficial “oh, well, I don’t remember ever turning it down…” at the full tuition rate
Waiting to hear from RIT & Champlain for both admission and TE

I just went in the TE app to see if there were any new updates there, and Clarkson oddly says they haven’t decided yet, even though we got the financial aid offer a full week ago. So, the app isn’t necessarily the most up to date info.
