I have a California State University Grant and Pell Grant, combined both total enough to cover tuition for Fall 2013/Spring 2014 something like $4800 per semester. I remember them mentioning this at SOAR but have forgot the details so hoping someone else might know.

I've accepted both offers of aid already, and now that I've enrolled in classes MyCSULB says I owe $2981. Will the grant money automatically pay those fees eventually before the payment deadline? My main concern is being dropped from the classes which obviously wouldn't be to fun.

If you have enough financial aid to cover what you have to pay (for you its $2981) then you just leave it alone and the financial aid will take care of itself. I also have enough financial aid to cover tuition plus some and right now I havent payed anything. The money will be distributed around mid Aug. (16th i think) and what is left over will go to your bank account (if you signed u for erefund, which you should have already done). Hope this helps!
People get freaked out because its says the payment is due but that is ONLY if you dont have enough aid to cover all the tuition…

That’s what I was thinking, financial aid should automatically cover tuition. Thing is the payment due date is the 14th, then financial aid kicks in on the 16th. Problem is I can’t get dropped from any of these classes otherwise it complete ruins my plans of finishing in hopefully 3 semesters.

I remeber them saying something along the same lines at SOAR, just wanted to get some confirmation that it actually happens that way.
