Tuition Fees at USC

Hi all, could anyone fill me in on the payment of tuition fees at SC? I'm not too sure if we pay by the semester or if we have to settle the entire year's fees in advance (at the beginning of the school year). In addition, is payment the same for meal plans and accommodation?

you can pay by semester in one lump sum or apply to pay by instalment (extra $40 for application fee). Tuition, housing and meal plans are all on the same statement. You have to pay by the Friday before class starts. As an international, you will have to estimate how much tuition will be for the first semester. You don’t get the amount until you register for classes and internationals do not register until Aug when you go for orientation. They will refund any overpayment.

Paying tuition by wire transfer will cost you extra $12 service fee from USC, $10 from the bank and whatever service fees they charge at your own bank where you arrange the wire transfer (for us it was about $50)

You can set up to pay 10 payments for the whole year of COA using any credit card.

COA? Do the 10 payments include all the main expenses like tuition, meals and accommodation? Do they total up these costs and divide them by ten to give us the monthly instalments?

Yes, you total it up and divide by 5 for the first semester and 5 for the second semester.
