Tuition for out of state?

I have been hearing a lot of mixed numbers about out of state tuition (including room and board).

Ive heard that tuition including room and board is about 17000. Is this true? Also can anyone give me links to the out of state scholarships they offer? I think there is like a $5600 one and maybe an $8000 one I forget though.

Thanks!

I hear thats about right. You are thinking about the two scholarships, the Presidential Scholarship (they changed the name to the Chancellors Scholarship but I dont know if that has taken effect yet) and the National Merit Award for out of ostate students.

I hope its right. on cappex they list out of state tuition as like 17000, then they list room and board as 6000.

That ist he right number. The OOS tuition was 17000 but the cost of attendance for oos oncampus is 23000 per annum. However this can be reduced by things such as the Academic Comon MArket, merit scholaships, and private loans.

The expected charges for non-residents next year (2010-11) are: $18,563 for tuition/fees and $7,472 for room & board:

ISU estimates a total cost of attendance (COA) for non-residents as $30,490, which also includes books, transportation, personal expenses, etc.

The ISU website also includes a list of all scholarships available to incoming freshman:
