How much is the tuition for the 04-05 school year?
And, is Yale on the thing where they pay as much as you need for tuition?

waaaaay too much.
waaaaaaaaaaay too much.
its listed on CB as 41,370
and im not too familiar with fin aid, im the oldest of my sibs, so we have no idea how the whole process works yet.

From college board's website:
Tuition and fees: $29,820
Room and board: $9,030
Books and supplies: $2,520

And yes, Yale meets 100% of your need.

ok i need major help. i need to know the cost per hour, per class, per semester, per year, and per four years at yale, can anyone help me?

WTH cost per hour? Dude are you serious? How would you calculate that? Cost per instruction or cost per hour spent at yale? Are you going to include vacations? How do you how many classes you will take and how long they are. The others you just need a calculator. Assuming you are going to take 36 classes divide the above number by 36. for semester divide by 8. divide by 4 per year.

You are very strong in the art of thread necromancy freshmen.

thanx. yes im serious. c thing is im a freshmen at memorial hs and i have this project for any college/university i choose. i chose yale and the crazy teacher is making us look for this and its due may 29th and i dont know wat to do

Hi! I'm a prefrosh, and i've got a paper right here for yale's costs:

tuition: 34,530
room: 5710
board: 4760

total: 45000

And yes, yale claims to meet 100% of financial need, but as with any other school, there may be a disparity between what you think you can pay and what they think you can pay. Generally wealthy colleges are pretty generous with low income families.

Hey kwiji, do you know anything about what they define as "government assistance"? I have a government-provided student loan for a hefty amount of the tuition, but apparently they did not use it towards covering my EFC (instead defining it as outside assistance to cover need). What are the rules about the scholarship portion increasing or decreasing?

what do you mean they "meet 100% of financial need". this means if i get accepted, and i have a very low income, oh nevermind.

Hello everybody!!! Do you know how much tuition fee for “Yale College” not University in 2012 ??? I want to apply Major Art??? Thank you so much for your help???

Are you looking for a Bachelors degree? Then you would be paying for Yale College.

If you think this is too much, wait till you see the sticker price for a professional school!

Thankfully, this is just the sticker price.

holyly, 45000 for tuition plus room & board seems right for Yale College. For non-professional graduate schools, if you are pursuing a PhD degree, the school usually sponsors you (and you “work”) so I think the sticker price matters very little.

Just a thought: What a school like Yale College (and H, P, or S) does is to charge “those who have” more (i.e., the fair price) so that those who have not could be charged less.

If you are not from a wealthy family and you meet some of your peer students who are from a wealthier family, you should be thankful that, just because they pay more, you could afford to pay less.

That was the price in 2007.

For any school, go to the FA website to find the current tuition:
